We recently had the opportunity to experience this device hands-on, and here are our views on it. The laptop boasts a plethora of features, with the standout being its dual-screen setup. Let’s take a closer look at the ZenBook Duo 14 (2024).
The company has launched the ZenBook Duo 14 (2024) in the Indian market at Rs 1,54,990, putting it in the same league as Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5.
Sleek and Impressive Design
The ZenBook Duo 14 (2024) features a sleek and compact design. At first glance, it resembles a traditional laptop, but it comes with a detachable Bluetooth keyboard. Beneath the keyboard lies a second display, a boon for users who prefer working with multiple screens. The design includes a built-in stand that allows the laptop to be placed on a table or hard surface for dual-screen use. The adjustable stand lets users change the viewing angle for enhanced comfort. Despite its sleek profile, Asus has managed to include an HDMI port and multiple Type-C ports, showcasing its robust build quality.
Display
The ZenBook Duo boasts a 14-inch OLED Full-HD+ display that delivers vivid colors and crisp images, bringing content to life. However, its reflective nature under bright office lighting can occasionally be bothersome. Outdoors, its ample brightness ensures content remains visible in open environments. Notably, both displays are touchscreen-enabled, allowing direct interaction with the screen when the keyboard isn’t in use.
Looking ahead, an improvement in future models could include separate brightness adjustment controls for each screen. When stacked, the lower screen sometimes overshadows the upper one, causing slight discomfort during extended use. Additionally, offering the ZenBook Duo in various display sizes would cater to a broader range of preferences. Asus has effectively minimized bezels around the screen, enhancing the overall aesthetic and maximizing screen real estate.
Stylus Support
The ZenBook Duo also supports a stylus, offering three different tips that enhance the drawing and writing experience. Latency is minimal, providing a smooth user experience. However, palm rejection is not included, which might be a slight inconvenience for some users.
