Sources familiar with the matter disclosed that production of the headset has been operating at full capacity in Chinese facilities for several weeks.
The ambitious timeline aims to have customer-ready units by the end of January, with the official retail debut scheduled for the subsequent month. Priced at $3,499, the Vision Pro initially launched in June, with expectations of reaching U.S. consumers by early 2024.

Developer Outreach and Store Preparations
To prepare for the imminent release, Apple has reportedly reached out to software developers, urging them to optimize their applications for the Vision Pro. The company encourages developers to test their apps with the latest tools and submit their software for feedback. In anticipation of showcasing the Vision Pro in select retail stores, Apple is dispatching employees from each location to Cupertino for training. Stores will need to stock the headsets and accessories, including various-sized headbands and Light Seals.
While the slated launch month is February, technology analyst Gurman cautions that unforeseen production challenges or other issues could potentially lead to delays.
Apple is not expected to organize a dedicated Vision Pro launch event, primarily attributed to the limited U.S. release, the device’s substantial $3,500 price point, and the constrained initial supply. In the event of heightened demand, it could take months for Apple to scale up production to meet consumer needs.
