A special taskforce on industrial growth will identify avenues for speedy economic growth as part of the Swarnandhra Vision 2047 of Andhra Pradesh.
As announced earlier, the task force headed by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and co-chaired by Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran, will task further with the support of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), as per an order issued by the State Government on Tuesday.
As part of the vision, the State Government identified 10 key sectors for development including agriculture, dairy, fisheries, and horticulture, industries, commerce – logistics, services sector & IT, healthcare and medical infrastructure, education and skill development. According to Chief Minister Naidu, these focus sectors represent the path ahead for the transformation agenda of the State Government.
The members of the taskforce included Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, CII, Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals, Suchitra Ella, Co-founder & Managing Director, Bharat Biotech, Prof Raj Reddy, Moza Bint Nasser University, Professor of Computer Science and Robotics, School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University, Satish Reddy, Chairman, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, GM Rao, Group Chairman, GMR Group, S N Subrahmanyan, Chairman & Managing Director, L&T, Venu Srinivasan, Chairman Emeritus, TVS Motor Company and the Chief Secretary, Andhra Pradesh.
